Description
This event will provide attendees who are trainees in Transfusion Medicine fellowship programs with an opportunity to learn more about the various career paths available to physicians in transfusion medicine, as they hear presentations from a leader in academic transfusion medicine, a blood center physician leader, and a physician leader in cellular therapies. The winners of the Fenwal Transfusion Medicine Fellow Research Awards will also present abstracts of their research work to attendees. This event will provide valuable career guidance and an opportunity for networking.
- Define different available career paths in transfusion medicine for physicians (academic transfusion service, blood center, cellular therapies) and hear from leaders in each area.
- Hear scientific research presentations from winners of the Fenwal Transfusion Medicine Fellow Research Awards.
- Provide a networking opportunity for trainees in transfusion medicine fellowships and practicing transfusion medicine physicians.
