OBJECTIVES:
- Discuss strategies to minimize the risk of young donors having adverse events on clinics.
- Elaborate the role of Fas receptor signaling pathway in platelets.
- Discuss the similarities and differences between PRP and buffy coat platelets in autologous survival and recovery studies.
- Discuss the role that the status of inflammatory processes in patients receiving blood products may have on the predisposition to develop TRALI.
