Relating, Not Translating: How to Cultivate Latino Donors
Description
The U.S. Census reveals that there are now more than 47 million Latinos residing in the U.S. and that this is now the largest and fastest-growing minority in the country. By 2020 they will account for one in five residents in the U.S. Cultivating the Latino donor will help you grow your business, today and in the years to come. But it requires more than just translating a message into Spanish: you'll need to know which potential barriers to apply and which messages will connect with this consumer emotionally, rationally and culturally. Attendees will leave with specific strategies and tactics for developing effective marketing messages targeted specifically to the Latino market.
-
Describe the "size of the prize" and the common barriers that stand in the way of Latinos donating blood.
-
Discuss five ways to build sustainable relationships with the Latino community.
-
List the four levels of acculturation and the values and insights associated with each.
