Description
Through case study presentations, attendees will be able to participate in discussion of an incidence of TRALI from donation to hospital follow-up post-transfusion reaction, donor/patient undergoing hematopoietic progenitor cell collection, and patient receiving therapeutic apheresis.

  • Describe the implications of TRALI from the perspectives of the donor, the blood center, the hospital, and the recipient.
  • Determine the care plan and clinical/technical implications of a patient receiving therapeutic apheresis therapy.
  • Discuss the care plan and clinical/technical implications of a patient/donor undergoing hematopoietic progenitor cell collections.
