This program will provide you with a basic understanding of hematopoietic stem cells and their potential uses. It will also explore the methods and process for successful marrow drives and how this success can help to expand the blood donor base, especially in minority communities. In addition, the program will tell you the story of patient selection, how the stem cells travel from the donor to the patient and the impact of this life saving product.
