DESCRIPTION
The broadly-reactive sample presents special investigational challenges. Using a case study and lecture approach, the speakers in this session will address the recognition and resolution of multiple causes of broad-reactivity in a specimen. Topics to be discussed include differentiating autoantibody from alloantibody reactivity, problems caused by antibodies to reagent constituents or drugs, the characterization of new high incidence antigens and an update on Chido/Rodgers and Knops blood group systems.
