DESCRIPTION
Blood transfusion represents a multi-disciplinary therapeutic process routinely used in patient care. Using data obtained from the clinical and laboratory monitoring of the patient as well as from mandated transfusion practices/blood use review processes, insight into the frequency diagnosis and management of adverse events associated with transfusions can occur. In this educational session the speakers will explore various clinical aspects of the transfusion process and highlight potential areas impacting the quality of care delivered in this setting.
