DESCRIPTION
Conflicts of interest may arise when we least expect them, and the key to their avoidance is recognition and prevention. This session will address the potential for conflicts of interest among blood bankers and cellular therapists from a variety of perspectives. The views studied include the interface between industry and health-care providers, the conduct of research and routine operation within the organization structures, and the delivery and utilization of blood products and cell therapies. A discussion of case studies will be included in the session.
