DESCRIPTION
This session will address venous access for apheresis. Whereas percutaneous access (usually antecubital) is preferred for most adult procedures, venous access devices, including central venous catheters are often required. The choice of device and its proper management is critical for safe apheresis therapy. Pediatric considerations may differ from those of adult patients and deserve special attention.
