DESCRIPTION
Cellular engineering and related biologic activities continue to drive new approaches to the treatment and understanding of various diseases. There have been obvious successes in the application of cell therapies to hematopoietic progenitor cell transplants, but other tissue engineering strategies are beginning to emerge. This session will explore these innovations in cellular therapies, characterize one blood center’s involvement in this area and explore future opportunities to support and participate in cell therapy initiatives.
