DESCRIPTION
This program is divided into three sessions. The first session will present how Long Island Blood Services increased apheresis products per donor and attained the goal of 32,000 platelet products. Additional discussion items will include the presentation of a matrix on how to attain additional red blood cell (RBC) and plasma products, as well as a description of the educational processes implemented to affect these changes. Part two of the program will discuss cross-generational interactions at the workplace. Speakers will suggest ways to increase staff performance/satisfaction and ways to enhance customer service. The final session will present a case study on incompatible RBC transfusions and describe interventions and Rhogam dosing.
