This session will review strategies that give young children opportunities to develop and apply their critical thinking skills to real world situations. Specifically “RECIPE” as an acronym: Read, run Errands, Cook, Involve their children in activities that interest them, Play, and Explore with their children will be introduced. The session will also discuss the importance of early childhood environments including day care, preschool, and the home as places where critical learning begins. In this WOW, practical ideas for parents to engage in fun activities with their children will also be provided.
