In 2007, an innovative, progressive Renzulli Schoolwide Enrichment Model middle school opened its doors for the first time. In only three years, BELL Academy has risen to the 98th percentile in middle school student performance in NYC and currently has close to 700 students on its waiting list for admission. The academic success of this diverse population of students, including high percentages of special education students and English Language Learners, has resulted in record numbers of student acceptances into the most competitive NYC specialized high schools and many other distinguished programs of their choice.
