Description
On a daily basis, teachers must constantly assess what students are learning so that they know how to adjust their instruction in order for students to move along the learning progression. The assessments have to provide feedback to the teacher but also to students in order to involve them in their own learning. What kinds of assessments are good for this? How often should this be done? This session focuses on the use of a variety of assessments---from informal to formal---for the purpose of planning meaningful instruction for high-end learning. The session concludes by sharing with participants a process for making sense of assessment data for instructional improvement.
