This is the seventh year that the Global Awareness network offers a book club selection for group discussion. The Universe in a Single Atom: The Convergence of Science and Spirituality by the Dalai Lama is the featured book. The purpose of this work is an effort to examine two important human disciplines for the purpose of developing a more holistic and integrated way of understanding the world around us. Participants are invited to share their views with regards to implications for gifted education as well as explore how these topics address the social and emotional needs of gifted individuals.
