Description
In this practical session for parents and educators, learn how to modify the regular math program and establish a comprehensive, systematic program for math-talented students. Discuss how to determine the level of students’ ability and achievement and tailor instruction to their individual needs. Recognize that students demonstrate a variety of abilities in math and no one program will fit all students. Case studies of individual children and sample exemplary programs in large and small schools illustrate the steps of the process. Presenters share insights about selecting curriculum, long-term planning, and evaluation, and provide a list of must-have resources.
