Description
Best practice in gifted and talented identification procedures involves making decisions on the basis of multiple measures; however, the psychometric qualities of identification decisions based on combining scores from multiple measures have not been rigorously investigated. This study used simulation to examine the performance of a multiple-criteria assessment scheme based on Georgia state law. Results indicated that the GA scheme may perform poorly. Alternative systems are identified that have better performance.
