We celebrate and honor Dr. Joyce VanTassel-Baska's contributions to NAGC, to teaching and learning, to gifted education, to life, and to our profession. This panel discussion highlights Dr. VanTassel-Baska's passion for educating gifted children in the world as well as the relationships she has had with others in the teaching and research profession. She has been dedicated to the field of gifted education for more than forty years. During this time, she has led curriculum-intervention initiatives, developed research-based models for identification, curriculum writing, and professional development, revived awareness of promising students of poverty, and led NCATE initiatives to bring about changes in standards for higher education.
