Description
The world is a wonder to very young children. Science helps children to think about and explore that wonder. Participants will learn strategies that help young children develop conceptual understanding in science. Participants gain understanding of how vocabulary links to concept development and learn strategies to develop science vocabulary, concepts, and reasoning. This session includes hands-on strategy practice. The strategies are derived from research-based curriculum units developed to support underserved populations of gifted and talented students.
