Description
In 2000, minorities comprised approximately 30% of the U.S. population. By 2050, it is projected that the minority population will represent approximately 50% of the total U.S. population, meaning that ethnically and racially diverse people will no longer be a numerical minority. Yet, highly competitive high schools like Governors Schools struggle with creating a diverse student body. This session presents strategies that have been identified by competitive schools across the country as successful in recruiting and retaining a diverse student body.
