Description
Are you responsible for providing professional development in gifted education? What teachers want to know and what they actually need to know about effective programming for gifted learners are both valuable incentives for learning. A special education consultant, a district gifted coordinator, and a university-based teacher educator/author share practical strategies for teacher training. Participants engage in discussion about planning and implementing meaningful in-service, including consultation services, conferences, and courses, as well as needs assessment, participatory strategies, technological advances, and supports for plans, materials, and curricular adaptations.
