"Jay Schwedelson oversees all operations and corporate strategic vision of Worldata. Under his leadership, Worldata has become the industry leader in direct mail list services, permission e-mail marketing services, and interactive advertising solutions. Schwedelson is active in the Direct Marketing Association, where he has served as a member of the Internet Advisory Board Committee, List & Database Council Advisory Board, and is currently serving on the Board of the List Leaders Group.
Jay was a founding member and past chairman of the DMA’s Council for Responsible Email, which is the leading industry trade group on email privacy and best practices. He also serves on the MPA’s (Magazine Publishers Association) List Security Task Force, and the board of the FDMA (Florida Direct Marketing Association).
Among his career achievements Jay has been named to BtoB Magazines 100 Top Industry Professionals on multiple occasions. He sits on the Advisory Board of his Alma Mater’s College of Advertising at the University of Florida.
Jay is well known as a speaker on Marketing for the New Economy. Jay also pens a monthly column on industry best practices that appears in the industry trade publication DMNews. He has taught a variety of courses for the DMA (Direct Marketing Association), MPA (Magazine Publishers Association), SIPA (Specialized Information Publishers Association), the DMEF (Direct Marketing Educational Foundation), and The University of Florida.
Jay is a second generation direct marketing professional who lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his wife and 10-month old son."
