"Ernan Roman is the pioneer who created the Consensual Marketing Opt-In Process and the Integrated Direct Marketing methodology. He is the co-author of the first book on opt-in marketing: “Opt-In Marketing: Increase Sales Exponentially with Consensual Marketing.” The first printing sold out in six weeks.
He has appeared frequently on ABC TV and numerous radio stations to discuss issues facing marketers and consumers. In 2004, he was named to “B to B’s Who’s Who” as one of the 100 most influential people in Business Marketing by Crain’s B to B Magazine.
His previous book was “Integrated Direct Marketing: The Cutting Edge Strategy for Synchronizing Advertising, Direct Mail, Telemarketing and Field Sales.”

David Bear is executive director of mobile and social media at Atmosphere Proximity. Davids entrepreneurial career began in 1992 when he launched the first exercise boxing training programs (think Tae Bo) in New York City with a single New York Sports Clubs (TSI) location. From the boxing ring to the Internet, David joined the CEO of newly formed SW Networks, a joint venture between Sony and Warner Bros that merged network radio with the newly emerging Internet. In 2006, he joined Omnicom Group as vice president of business development. In 2007, David joined Atmosphere Proximity to head the newly developed Mobile and Social Media practices. A graduate of Syracuse University, he holds a B.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and is on the Commerce Committee for the Mobile Marketing Association.
Ian Hughes has worked in the marketing and communications industry for 16 years, starting at
Marks and Spencer before becoming chief marketing officer at MM Group. He then founded eCharity.com in the US and launched Consumer Intelligence in the UK. He is passionate about understanding why consumers buy certain financial services products. A Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing, Hughes has a business degree, a postgraduate diploma in direct marketing and has completed the Harvard Business Schools Program for management development.
