Bruce Biegel is managing director of the Winterberry Group where he leads the firm's consulting practice and establishes its strategic and operational agenda. In addition to his role at Winterberry Group, Bruce serves as a senior advisor to the firm’s investment bank affiliate Petsky Prunier LLC. Chairman and founder of the DMA's Marketing Technology Council, Mr. Biegel is a frequent, in-demand speaker at major marketing industry conferences and symposia.
Omar Tawakol is chief executive officer at BlueKai. Prior to founding BlueKai, Omar was the chief advertising officer of Medio Systems, the leading provider of mobile search and advertising solutions for carriers. Previously he was the chief marketing officer at Revenue Science. He was recently listed in Media Magazine's Media 100 for 2008. Omar earned an M.S. in computer science and industrial engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in engineering from MIT.
Tom Phillips is president and CEO of Media6Degrees, the leader in harnessing social graph data to drive advertising performance for large marketers. He has spent the last 25 years creating and managing innovative media and technology properties. Tom was founding publisher of Spy magazine in 1986, the original media chief for Starwave Corporation in 1993 (creators of ESPN.com, NFL.com, ABCNews.com and NBA.com), and chief executive officer of Deja.com in 1998. He was subsequently a venture partner at Insight Venture Partners. In 2006, he joined Google and managed Print Ads and the DoubleClick integration before establishing the Search & Analytics team to pioneer new uses of Google data on behalf of major advertising clients.
Phillips holds a B.A in applied mathematics from Harvard and an M.B.A. from Stanford.
John Nardone is chief executive officer and chairman of [x+1]. Before joining [x+1] in February 2008, John was co-president of Marketing Management Analytics (MMA). Previously, he served as executive vice president of media, research and database marketing at Modem Media from 1994-1999. From 1999-2002, he served as president, international where he led the agency's global expansion with mergers and acquisitions in London, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, France, and Brazil. Prior to Modem Media, John spent seven years leading established and new brands for Procter & Gamble and PepsiCo. John has been named Media Maven and Digital Media Master by Ad Age, and has been named Media All Star by MediaWeek magazine. He holds an M.B.A. from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a B.A. from Duke University.
