Michael is active in a number of important marketing industry associations including the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), where he serves as a founding member and vice chair of the DMA's Interactive Marketing Advisory Board, and also co-chairs the DMA's Email Experience Council. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and is regularly quoted in the media about issues facing the marketing services and email industries.
Prior to joining the Epsilon, Michael was CMO at Bigfoot Interactive, which became Epsilon Interactive after its 2005 acquisition. Before that, he was vice president of strategic development at CNET Networks, Inc., where he designed key strategic plans to increase revenue and grow and retain key audience segments for the Internet's leading technology destination. Previously, Michael was vice president of marketing at ZDNet, which was later acquired by CNET Networks. Michael has been recognized in BtoB Magazine's Who's Who in B-to-B list of top executives for five of the past six years (2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007), noted for his handling of Epsilon’s rapidly expanding offering, the company’s successful vertical market strategy and his industry leadership on best practices and legislation.
