Pharmaceutical disposal is not just the responsibility of the pharmacist at the hospital, it is a team approach. What is the environmental services role? At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to: identify waste streams for new pharmaceutical drugs, discuss and identify environmental regulations from NIOSH, JCAHO, and RCA (EPA). Assess, formulate and implement searches for pharmaceutical products by NDC number or other criteria.
