In this session, participants will discuss the risk to the environment posed by the operational footprint of healthcare facilities and the purchase and use of potentially toxic products and services. Attendees in this session will discuss how healthcare facilities contribute to toxicity in the environment, describe three strategies to improve the health and safety of the healthcare setting and list three resources for information on environmentally preferable purchasing.
