Description
The evaluation and management of both acute care and long-term care infections continue to be a challenge. The general goals and objectives, staffing patterns, and availability of resources are vastly different. Differences
include the infrequent presence of physicians and the inability to obtain timely and accurate laboratory. In this session participants will compare and contrast acute vs. LTC facilities infection control and prevention and ES needs, analyze difference in staffing duties and challenges
and employ measures to bridge the gaps.
