Transport Managers from many organizations have been called upon for to develop Lift Teams to supplement their organization's safe patient handling initiatives. NAHTM members Ed Marcel, Dareen Webb Honaker, Deb Cox and Steve Vogel will present and discuss their unique, successful lift team programs and will provide information on the ins and outs of implementing and sustaining a lift team program in any organization. During this session, book 4 of the Certified Healthcare Transporter Certification, Lift Technician Competencies, will be introduced by Impact Training Corp. principals, Jorie Philippi and Ruthann Walsh. By the end of this workshop participants will identify the key steps in implementing a lift team program and state a basic understanding of key safe patient handling concepts.
