Description
Proper segregation of medical waste is an important process that addresses regulatory and safety concerns. In this session, you'll learn the other side of the story. What happens once the waste leaves your facility? Participants of this session will define medical waste, identify and discuss potential hazards involving prohibited waste delivered from large quantity medical waste generators to landfill, outline enforcement efforts, and construct a preventative policy to reduce the frequency of incidents while protecting staff in the hospital and landfill staff.
