Description
We all know how important EVS and transportation functions are to maintain a clean hospital environment and getting patients to and from care services. But how much have you thought about how you can contribute to improving the quality and satisfaction of patients? By assuring that services are integrated with overall hospital bed and trip priorities, EVS and Transportation staff can be valued as the important team members they are. Ideas for building trust and developing partnerships with other departments will be shared. Participants of this session will identify two strategies to employ at your organization to integrate EVS or transportation activities with the overall patient flow approach; diagram the ideal process flow between transportation and EVS staff for a consistent patient discharge process; Compose their messages that
communicate to EVS and/or transportation staff and how partnerships with other areas can further improve performance.
