Infection prevention, room turns, patient flow, patient satisfaction and increased productivity and efficiency are just a few of the unprecedented opportunities environmental services has to contribute to a hospital's improved outcomes, increased operational performance, enhanced safety and increased satisfaction among stakeholders. Success in these areas requires critical thinking and detailed planning and execution as if you were running a for-profit business. This hands-on, working session takes the for profit approach to writing a business plan for the environmental services department. Participants will work in teams to develop a take home business plan template that can be customized for any EVS operation. Come prepared to participate and work!
