Giving feedback is often hard to do. We forget to praise what we see as expected behavior, and we tend to avoid confrontation with people not performing up to par because we are not sure how to handle it. We expect it will be difficult and emotional. This session covers the HOWs and WHYs of giving feedback. Participants will list at least 6 ways to make praise effective; describe at least 4 characteristics of effective coaching; and explain how to conduct a disciplinary meeting with an employee.
